Field trips to Cullipher Farms in the fall feature UPick Pumpkins as part of the wagon ride around the 250-acre working farm of orchards, crops, cattle fields, and vineyard! Each child will pick a pie pumpkin from our fields to take home. Trips include lessons on growing pumpkins, the life cycle of the pumpkin plant, and fun facts about pumpkins and the farm animals.
Hickory Ridge Farm
A huge variety of pumpkins, gourds, decorative pumpkins, and mini pumpkins are available for sale at the farm stand at Hickory Ridge Farm, and in October, you can pick your own! Enjoy a charming hayride, see the working farm, and pick your own sunflowers! Children can enjoy the barrel train, corn maze, toddler-only hay maze, bounce houses, farm animals, sand piles, playhouses, and a giant haystack and slide. The farm’s coffee truck offers all kinds of yummy coffee drinks and hot cider, fresh baked goods, homemade cookies, biscotti, and kettle corn!
Mount Pleasant Farms
Visit Mount Pleasant Farms for their annual Fall Festival weekends! Pick your own pumpkins straight off the vine, try out the corn maze and kids’ corn, take a wagon or pony ride, hop on the barrel train or into the corn pit, wander through the hay maze, and petting zoo, and enjoy lots of games.
