Sunny spring weather creates the perfect occasion for safe, socially distanced outdoor events.
The 2021 Yorktown’s Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival will take place May 1st at the Riverwalk Landing. Sample dozens of local craft beers, dig into some amazing BBQ and listen as some of the best Blues musicians in Hampton Roads take the stage at Riverwalk Landing.
Shop local on Saturday mornings at the Buckroe Beach Farmers Market! The Farmers Market takes place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., beginning in May and continuing through the fall. Vendors will sell local produce, baked goods, sausage, seafood, jarred food items, and more.
The Sounds of Summer Series at Riverwalk Landing features free outdoor concerts by the river all summer long! Bring your lawn chairs and coolers, and stay until the sun sets! Enjoy jamming to some of the area’s top acts playing beach favorites, Motown, disco, funk, R&B, Pop & more.
We’ve all been cooped up this winter and no-one has felt it more than the kids! Spring finally brings the opportunity for them to get outside, release all that pent up energy, and enjoy some activities and events just for them.
The Summer Movie Series will take place every Tuesday all summer long, at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center, and feature family films for kids of all ages.
The Kids Bash is the East Coast’s largest, annual kid’s fitness event, dedicated to prioritizing health and fitness amongst the youth in our communities.
